Influence is at the core of Business Solent

With more than 170 Champions, Business Solent is the platform to unite business leaders to share ideas, influence outcomes and deliver solutions through the Action Groups and Alliances.

From business involvement in the Transport Alliance to the work of the Future Southampton Action Group pressing for a masterplan for the city, the influence of business has created a strong voice.

The recently formed Public Affairs group has been established to ensure the Solent region is on the radar at a national and international level.

The coalition governments stated approach to engaging with the business community and it’s desire for business to play a greater role in the strategic development of regional economic growth and prosperity is evident through the introduction of the Local Enterprise Partnerships (LEPs).

Business Solent is a strong supporter of the Solent LEP and provides the tools for businesses to unite to influence local, regional and national government to support the economic development across the region.
